Teens in Action paused for a group shot after a long afternoon of filming the crash scene.

Our project Roads Kill/Road Skill is designed to help youth in our school and community develop awareness of teen driving safety through community events, school assemblies, morning TV broadcasts, educational exhibits and events with local agencies.

On April 26, 2008 we hosted our first Teen Driving Safety Summit. A video has been made of the day's event!!!!  Check it out!!!!

The day started at 8:30 and ended at 6:30.  Comment that we received include:

  • The day was great--I learned a lot about teen driving safety.
  • Judge Diamonds movie and presentation made me think a lot about what alcohol can do to your life
  • Hearing the students acknowledge the importance and seriousness of driving safe inspires me to drive safer.
  • Having the judge come in and talk to us and show that DVD about the other kids that had been through situations where they used poor judgment when driving. That got my attention, especially since they were local kids.
  • The entire program was extremely well done.
  • I would like to see more high schools participate in the program
  • I want to work on the project and get the message to more people in our community.

Success!
